Perimenopause
Make sense of changing periods, hot flushes, sleep problems, brain fog and mood changes, including when symptoms are less obvious.
When your body, sleep or mood starts to feel different, it can be hard to know what is happening or where to turn. Get time to talk, clear explanations and a care plan shaped around you.
Menopause-related changes can affect much more than your periods. You may have one symptom or several, and they can change over time.
These symptoms can have causes other than menopause. A proper assessment can help explore what may be happening and what support is appropriate. You do not have to work it all out before asking for help.
I am Dr Sunday Ugwoke, a UK-trained Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist with over eight years of dedicated experience in women's healthcare.
Since 2018, I have worked exclusively in women's health, caring for thousands of women through different stages of life. My experience includes menstrual problems, fertility, pregnancy and childbirth, general gynaecological conditions and menopause. I have also worked in busy UK hospitals, caring for women with both common and complex health concerns.
I understand that menopause can affect far more than periods. Changes in sleep, mood, memory, confidence and intimate health can have a real impact on everyday life. Women deserve to have these concerns taken seriously and receive care that looks beyond individual symptoms.
Through ROSÉLIA, my aim is to bring this experience into thoughtful, personalised menopause care. I take time to listen, explain treatment options clearly and help each woman make informed decisions about her health. Whether you are beginning to notice changes, struggling with symptoms or reviewing your current treatment, you deserve to feel understood and supported.
My approach is simple: to listen, understand and work with you towards the right care.

Whether symptoms are just beginning or you have been trying to find the right treatment for some time, your concerns deserve a thoughtful, individual assessment.
Make sense of changing periods, hot flushes, sleep problems, brain fog and mood changes, including when symptoms are less obvious.
Understand your options, including hormone therapy, non-hormonal approaches and the potential benefits and risks for you.
If treatment is not helping as hoped, or something does not feel right, review symptom response, side effects and possible adjustments.
Specialist assessment and discussion of the health and treatment considerations of early menopause and premature ovarian insufficiency.
Confidential support for vaginal dryness, discomfort, painful sex and urinary symptoms associated with the menopause transition.
Guidance after hysterectomy or ovary removal, including discussion of symptoms and treatment choices in light of your history.
Good menopause care is not simply about a prescription. It is about understanding the person behind the symptoms and making decisions together.
A considered conversation about your symptoms, concerns, medical history and the impact on your daily life.
Understand the options in plain language, including what treatment may and may not do, and its relevant benefits and risks.
Your preferences and circumstances matter. Agree next steps together, with review when clinically appropriate.
You do not need to arrive with all the answers or know exactly what treatment you want. We start by listening, then work through the options and next steps with you.

Women across Alberta seeking specialist assessment or management of perimenopause or menopause symptoms can contact the clinic to arrange an appointment.
Yes. The service is available across Alberta, with virtual consultations. Virtual care is not appropriate for every concern. If an examination or urgent in-person assessment is needed, an appropriate local pathway will be discussed.
Not necessarily. Menopause is often assessed from your symptoms and history, but investigations may be appropriate in some circumstances or to look for other causes. Please do not arrange tests solely on the basis of this website.
No. HRT is one option, but it is not right for everyone and it is not the only way to manage symptoms. Any recommendation will follow an individual assessment and a discussion of your preferences, medical history, benefits and risks.
These concerns are common and deserve the same care and attention as any other health concern. You can raise them at your own pace in a respectful, confidential clinical conversation.
You do not need to be certain before seeking advice. A consultation can explore your symptoms, menstrual changes, age and health history, and consider whether another explanation or investigation may be needed.
No. This service is not for emergencies. If you have severe or rapidly worsening symptoms, heavy bleeding with faintness, chest pain, severe shortness of breath or another urgent concern, seek immediate medical attention or call 911.
